Lady Gaga fans get 'Billie Eilish Is Over Party' trending after her meat dress comments

Billie Eilish and Finneas appeared to make fun of some of Lady Gaga's most famous outfits in a recent interview.

Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga fans are at war and it all started with an interview in which Billie was asked about the meat dress.

Variety recently named Billie Eilish their Hitmaker of the Year and they spoke to her and her brother Finneas to celebrate. In a video, Billie opened up about what it's like to be nominated for six Grammys. She said: "It's an honour. I grew up watching the Grammys. We all did. I used to judge all the girls' dresses. I barely paid attention to the music."

Finneas then said: "Was the meat dress a Grammys event?" and Billie appeared to diss it by responding "yiiiiiikes".

He added: "The egg was also a Grammys event? My favourite egg comment was Justin Bieber. He was like I know people say it's art right but I'm just like you're in an egg." Billie and Finneas then both laughed.

Now Lady Gaga fans are saying Billie Eilish is cancelled and they've even got Billie Eilish Is Over Party trending on Twitter.

Little Monsters think that Billie was dissing Gaga with her comments. One Gaga fan tweeted: "billie eyelash saying "yikes" to THE meat dress and her brother be like "people say it’s art right, but i’m just like you’re in an egg.” on gaga's 2011 grammy outfit. they're not just mediocre artists but also ignorant ones but who gave them the right to be this disrespectful."

Meanwhile, another wrote: "#BillieEilishisoverparty can not believe she even ATTEMPTED to insult this complete serve....... LITTLE MONSTERS PUT YOUR PAWS UP RAWR X" and someone even tweeted: "Any tongue that rises against ms gaga shall fall, PERIOD".

For context, Lady Gaga has repeatedly said that the meat dress was a statement about "Don’t ask, don’t tell". Speaking to Elle recently, she said: "To me, if you’re willing to give up your life for your country, does it matter what your sexual orientation is or what your gender identity is? For me, it was like, “Flesh is flesh”.

Naturally, it didn't take long for people to come to Billie's defence. One person wrote: "NOT gaga stans assuming that billie knew the meaning behind the meat dress. BILLIE IS VEGAN. of course her first reaction would be grossed out. y’all are literally making drama out of nothing RELAX."

Even some Gaga fans asked the Gaga fans trying to cancel Billie to stop. One tweeted: "Dude I've been a Gaga fan since the beginning. & even I'm not mad at Billie Eilish. Y'all are just sad for trying to cancel a 17 year old VEGAN for her own opinions/beliefs."

It goes without saying that trying to cancel Billie for simply saying "yiiiiikes" at a dress is ridiculous. While it's understandable that many people may not agree with her, not everyone has to like Gaga's meat dress. Beyond that, we doubt Billie meant anything malicious by her comments.
