Billie Eilish's Grammy nominations include Album of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Album, and Best Solo Performance. She is the youngest person to be nominated in all the award's major categories.
Billie Eilish is no stranger to breaking records. Earlier this year, the 17-year-old superstar became the first person born after 2001 to have a number 1 album. She was also the artist who ended Old Town Road's historic number 1 streak with her highly addictive single, 'bad guy'. Now, the singer has reached a completely different type of milestone, this time for her record-breaking 2019 Grammy nominations.
Yesterday (20 November), Grammy nominations were announced and 2019's biggest acts were recognised for their contributions to music. Lizzo and Lil Nas X led the pack, as did Billie, who managed to secure nominations in every major category and become the youngest person ever to do so.

Billie was nominated for Album of The Year, Best New Artist, Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Pop Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. The Grammy nominations also highlighted just how talented her whole family is. Between Billie and her brother Finneas, the O'Connells are up for 11 awards.
Billie and Finneas both reacted to the nominations on social media, celebrating and reposting endorsements from famous fans.
Billie shared congratulatory messages from Liam Payne, Halsey and Billie Jean King on her Instagram Stories. Halsey wrote on Twitter: "Ps super happy to see Billie Eilish crushing it. I wish I had someone like her to look up to when I was growing up. she's unstoppable [sic]."
"billie eilish has made GRAMMYS history by being the youngest nominee for the four biggest categories. wow and we used to call her our little secret a few months ago. time flies [sic]," read a fan tweet that Billie reposted.
Billie also shared a celebratory video on her feed with the caption: "BETWEEN ME & MY BROTHER ITS 11 NOMINATIONS 😵😵😵 thank u grammyyys this is an honor [sic]."
Billie's brother Finneas later shared a message where he wrote about their work together and thanked fans for their support.
"The acknowledgement of our songs and production and of Billie's incredible voice, means to me, the acknowledgement and celebration of creative control being firmly left in the hands of the artist," he captioned a photo of Billie.
Billie Eilish's meteoric rise and dedicated fan base have propelled her to record-breaking icon status all before the age of 18. To call her an overachiever would be a huge understatement at this point.
Congrats, Billie on six nominations!
