A women, who was found dead in a country lane in Cumbria has been named as Bingley.
49 year old Rose-Marie Valente, from Woodside Crescent in Bingley, West Yorkshire, was found in Brough, Cumbria, on Monday morning.
A 48 year old man from Cumbria was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
It is understood her injuries were consistent with a collision with a vehicle.
In a tribute issued through Cumbria Constabulary, her family said: “Rose was a loving and doting mother and nanna. She was loved and will be greatly missed by the family and her friends.'”
A police spokeswoman said: “Police have questioned a 48-year-old local male, who has now been released on police bail to report back to Carlisle Police Station at a later date while they undertake further inquiries.
“Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death and have appealed for anyone who saw or spoke to Rose over the weekend.”
