A woman who was mugged as she lay in the street having an epileptic fit is recovering from her injuries.

Humberside Police said the woman had collapsed in the street in Hull on 3 October when she was allegedly robbed of her mobile phone by two men.

A spokeswoman said: "It was reported that the victim collapsed near to the Kingfisher pub while having a fit.

"The suspects then allegedly assaulted her and stole her phone.

"She was treated in hospital for injuries to her hand and knee. It's unclear whether these were sustained when she fell or as a result of the assault."

The incident happened on Linnaeus Street just after 6pm.

"An unknown woman helped and spoke with the victim as she came round," the spokeswoman added.

Officers said that both men were wearing blue jeans.

One was wearing a grey hoodie and the other a green waxy jacket.
