Police are investigating after a teenager was hurt in an incident in a Cleethorpes carpark.
Police are looking for a driver to come forward after a woman was left injured in a North East Lincolnshire car park in mysterious circumstances.
Emergency services were called to the car park in Cleethorpes at 3.30am on Sunday after the 19-year-old woman was hit by a BMW.
Humberside Police said they believed the woman was already injured when the BMW hit her, possibly as a result of being in collision with another car.
The BMW driver called the emergency services immediately and the woman was taken to the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, in Grimsby, where she was described as being in a critical condition.
A force spokesman said detectives were keen to trace a dark-coloured car, possibly a hatchback, which left the High Street car park, opposite St Peter's Avenue, shortly before the woman was found by the BMW driver.
"It is likely that the 19-year-old girl had already been injured, possibly by another vehicle, prior to the driver of the BMW leaving the car park,'' the spokesman said.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm.
