The South Yorkshire force are trying to trace one of it’s own officers, who hasn’t been seen for more than 24 hours.
John Wilson, a Detective Constable who is based at Sheffield, was last seen by his wife yesterday morning (Wednesday 4 September) when he left their Ecclesfield home for work.
The 52 year old is known to be worried about issues at work, and the force is becoming increasingly concerned for his safety.
It is believed John is in his blue BMW car and may well have the family pet with him - a brown Labrador.
It is thought possible John could be in the Norfolk area, and his description has been ciruclated to all Police forces in an attempt to find him.
John is white, 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build and has a shaved head. He is described as very gaunt in his face, and often wears a silver earring in one ear.
