Following a number of deaths from jumping into the River Ouse in York, a hard hitting video is being shown to young people to stop so many risking their lives.
In the last year three people have died after getting into trouble in the Ouse. One of them was 21 year old Richard Horrocks who died after jumping from a balcony, into the water, back in June.
His mum, Vicki, has backed the campaign and gives an emotional account of her son's death on the video "Think, Don't Swim" commissioned by the York Press.
"Think Don't Swim" launched at the City Screen cinema on Coney Street, close to the balcony from where Mr Horrocks jumped.
It will be played at schools and universities throughout the city.
