Man charged with murder in Merthyr Tydfil

38 year old Denise Rosser was found dead at a house in Bedlinog on Tuesday.
Police went to a house in Lewis Street at 6.21am on Tuesday, 29th May, after concerns were raised for a woman at the address.
Officers arrived to discover Miss Rosser, 38, deceased.
Simon Winstone, 49, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear before Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ this morning.
Miss Rosser’s family have been updated on developments and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.
Her family have issued the following statement:
“We recognise that Denise faced many challenges in what was an often troubled life. As a family we sought to support her and we hope she is now at peace. We would like to thank the local community for all the support they have provided to Denise over the years. We would please ask for privacy at this difficult time. We are grateful to the local community for the assistance they are providing to the police investigation into Denise’ death and would encourage them to continue to do so, in order that the truth of what has happened can be established.”
Officers are still appealing to the public for information.
They would like to hear from anybody who was in the vicinity of Lewis Street, Bedlinog, who may have noticed anything suspicious between 8pm on Friday, 25th May, and 6.45am on Tuesday, 29th May, 2018.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Stuart Wales said: “We would like to hear from anybody who was in the area over the bank holiday weekend between those times. However insignificant it may seem, what they have to say could be important to our investigation.”
