A Welsh mental health charity is encouraging people to seek help if they're suffering with depression.

It's after Hollywood actor Robin Williams was found dead at his home in California last night.

Police believe he took his own life.

His agent says he had been suffering with severe depression in the run up to his death.

Ruth Coombs is from Mind Cymru. She said: "Don't keep it inside yourself.

"If you have concerns about someone or if you're concerned about your own health, you can look at the Mind website for information which will show you what the symptoms of depression could be.

"Talk to somebody. We all need support at some points in our lives so to have support around depression is the same as having support with any other illness.

"It doesn't target people who are of a particular nature, it doesn't target those in a particular profession there are people from all walks of life who will be impacted by depression.

"If it is affecting 1 in 4 people in any one year then certainly someone you know is experiencing depression right now."
