Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run
Set in the heart of Cardiff’s historic Bay, the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run is a 10K race and 2K Family Fun Run taking place on Sunday 25th March.
The event is a perfect opportunity to put a spring in your step, and kick-start your 2018 fitness! The 10K route takes in all of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic landmarks, starting and finishing in Roald Dahl Plass and passing the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, Pierhead Building, Senedd, Norwegian Church, Porth Teigr and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
It’s a perfect challenge for elite and club athletes, as well as those looking to keep fit, raise money for charity or take on their very first 10K! Entries start from just £22 and include a technical race t-shirt and finishers medal!

ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K
Over 10,000 runners are expected to take part in the inaugural ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K on Sunday 29th April 2018, which promises to be an exciting new major event for the city!
It will finally satisfy the demand for a mass-participation marathon event in Wales, boasting one of the UK’s flattest, fastest courses with a route taking in iconic landmarks, picturesque medieval villages and Newport’s regenerated city centre.
The marathon has sold out, but you can still get involved without taking on the challenging 26.2-mile distance - by signing up to the ABP Newport Wales 10K! There’s even a Family Mile, and riverfront Race Village - so everyone can get involved in a fantastic day of running!

Brecon Carreg Barry Island 10K
Sun, sea and sand will provide the backdrop to the Brecon Carreg Barry Island 10K – a brand new event from Run 4 Wales, the team behind the Cardiff Half Marathon, Newport Wales Marathon and Velothon Wales.
Forming part of the popular Barry Island Weekenders programme, it will bring a festival of running to the popular seaside resort on Sunday 5th August 2018 – with charity fundraising, summertime fun, and fancy dress at the heart!
The 10K race will take place on fully closed roads, taking in all of the town’s most scenic seaside spots and recognisable landmarks – whilst a host of children’s activities and a Family Fun Run along the promenade will give budding athletes and families a chance to get in on the action.

Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon & Family Fun Run
The Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon celebrates its 15th anniversary in October 2018 - when 25,000 runners will take to the streets of Cardiff to take part in Wales’ largest mass participation event and the UK’s 2nd largest half marathon.
There is something for everyone on Cardiff Half weekend, with celebrations spread out over two days. The Festival of Running kicks off proceedings on Saturday 6th October offering a number of races including the Family Fun Run, with the showpiece half marathon taking place on Sunday 7th October.
The route is flat and fast, with an iconic site at every turn – favoured by beginners and seasoned competitors alike. Don’t delay if you want to get involved - the race is due to sell out yet again, with only a handful of entries remaining!
