Waterlooville Man Arrested After Dog Stolen And Found Dead

A man from Waterlooville's been arrested after a dog was stolen then found dead.

Police say the pet was taken from a house in Blossom Drive in the town, just under two weeks ago.

Officers are now questioning a 34-year-old man.

A Hampshire Police statement, on their Facebook page, said:

"A 34-year-old man from the Waterlooville area has been arrested this evening in connection with a report of the theft of a dog from an address in Blossom Drive, Waterlooville on July 12.

"He remains in police custody pending further enquiries.

"We would like to reiterate our earlier advice to please avoid posting threats or naming potential suspects on social media.

"This type of activity can have a detrimental effect on the investigation and any subsequent prosecution."
