Totton Man On Facebook Incitement Charge

The trial of a man alleged to have tried to incite violent disorder during the summer riots has started.

Mitchel Stancombe, 20, of Kingsley Gardens, Totton, Hampshire, is charged with the offence under Section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.

He is alleged to have posted comments on the Facebook social networking site in August while rioting was taking place in London, Birmingham, Manchester and other areas.

The trial is at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
