Police investigating the death of Nick Beattie in Southampton have charged a man with his murder.
The 32-year-old's body was found on a footpath in Golden Grove in St Mary's on Friday 20 March.
A post mortem examination conducted on Saturday reported indeterminate findings and results of more tests are awaited.
James Russell, 37, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder. He appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 24 March) and will next appear at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday.
Three men, two aged 40 and one aged 42, also arrested in connection with the death, have been released without charge.
Yesterday (March 23), uniformed officers from the local neighbourhood policing team were opening a mobile police station on Golden Grove, speaking to locals and providing reassurance.
