Police are looking for a man who went into the women's changing rooms at a supermarket near Southampton - and pointed a camera at a woman getting changed.
At about 2.30pmon Saturday, November the 10th, a 29-year-old Reading woman was trying on clothes in a changing room at Sainsbury’s in Portswood Road.
As she was about to leave, she noticed a mobile phone or camera pointing over the top of the dividing wall between cubicles.
She shouted at the person in the next cubicle and reported the incident to staff.
CCTV showed a man leaving the changing area shortly after the victim left. He is white, stocky and aged 30-40, with short dark hair and a beard. He wore a green cable knit jumper, jeans and dark shoes.
Portswood PC Sean Taylor is asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the CCTV image. He said:
“This is a rare incident which occurred during a busy Saturday afternoon in a large supermarket. It was a particularly distressing experience for the woman and left her feeling extremely upset,”
Anyone who can identify the man is asked to contact PC Taylor at Portswood on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
