Portsmouth Man Savagely Attacked By Teenagers

The 41-year-old had just left a pub last week when he was attacked near Middle Street where his head was stamped on.

It happened at University car park, at the junction of Middle and Bedford Street around 7.25pm on Wednesday August 27. 

The 41-year-old man local man was assaulted by four teenagers. 

He suffered head injuries after he was stamped on. 

Detective Constable Richard Gibson who is investigating said: 

"This was an unprovoked assault on a man who'd just left a local pub. 

"He was badly beaten, and had his head stamped on which could have resulted in severe injury or worse but for the swift actions of the emergency services. 

"I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has knowledge of who might be responsible for this assault to contact Fratton CID on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers."
