PCSO Attacked By Dog In Emsworth
A Police Community Support Officer has been attacked by a dog belonging to a group of travellers in Emsworth.
The encampment of Travellers remains at Havant Road, Emsworth in the small cul-de-sac.
Yesterday, following an attack on a Police Community Support Officer by a dog on the site, a dangerous dog was removed by Hampshire Police and Havant Borough Council Animal Welfare with a member of the group arrested for offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1992.
The group have also received warnings from Hampshire Constabulary Roads Policing Unit regarding obstruction of the cycle path in this area.
A direction to leave has been served on the group under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.
Havant Borough Council await a court date from Portsmouth Magistrates Court on behalf of Hampshire County Council
Havant Borough Council will take instruction from HCC as to whether to instruct bailiffs for clearance of the site.
