Police in Portsmouth are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man was attacked, leaving him with a broken jaw.
An officer found the man lying on the ground outside Tiger Tiger in Central Square, Gun Wharf Quays, shortly after 1am on Sunday, February 20. He’s been on a night out.
The man had first aid treatment but his injuries didn’t appear to be serious. However, when he woke up at home later that morning he was in a lot of pain and after going to hospital it turned out he had a fractured jaw.
The victim, from Fareham, told officers he was punched in the face by a man described as white, in his 20s, who was wearing a blue and white checked shirt.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable David Anderson, at Fratton CID, on 101, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
