A man's died after a house fire on the Isle of Wight.
Emergency Services were called to an address in St Thomas Street, Ryde at 5.52pm on Tuesday 12 November.
An 82-year-old man was treated at the scene, but sadly died in hospital later that evening.
His 81-year-old wife, as well as a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman who went inside to try to help, were also treated at St Marys Hospital for smoke inhalation and have since been released.
Hampshire Constabulary is working with Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service on an investigation at the scene of the fire.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
