Man Dies In A31 Crash
Police have started an investigation into a fatal road traffic collision on the A31 at Ringwood in Hampshire.
Officers were called shortly before 6pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 15, 2012) to reports of a collision involving four cars near the Ringwood flyover.
A man aged in his 70s from Surrey, who was a driving a Daihatsu, received serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Next-of-kin are being informed, but police will not be in a position to name the man until all formal identification procedures are completed.
No-one else was travelling in the Daihatsu at the time of the collision.
No injuries were reported to the people travelling in the other three cars, which were two Fords and a Vauxhall.
The road has now re-opened.
