Man Charged Over Southampton Stabbing

Police have charged a man with attempted murder following a stabbing in Southampton.

William John Kernaghan, 23 of Coleman Street, St Mary's, Southampton has also been charged with:

-Assault

-Possession of an offensive weapon

-Criminal damage

He's due to appear before Southampton Magistrates on Monday November 7.

It follows an incident at a house in Cunningham Crescent, Sholing on Thursday, November 3. A 25-year-old man was stabbed several times with a sharp implement.

The man is in a stable condition at Southampton General Hospital.
