Man Attacked In Own Home In Portsmouth
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked by two callers to his home in King Albert Street, Portsmouth between 2.20 and 2.40am on Friday, March 30.
The men made their way into the house as if they knew the occupant, which confused him.
The 51-year-old man was also threatened with, what appeared to be, a knife and had his Samsung mobile phone and £30 cash stolen.
He sustained a large bruise to the right side of his face and other facial injuries which were treated by paramedics.
The two man made off from the address, possibly on bikes.
The men are described as white, early 20s, one with blond hair and the other had ginger hair, both wearing tracksuits.
Det Con Allison Fraser said: “The victim has been left shaken and frightened by what happened and is worried about his safety in his own home. This was an attack on a vulnerable adult who does not know who targeted him or why.
“This is a very rare incident, and we suggest you use a door chain and do not let a caller into your property if you are unsure about them. Please call us on 101 with any concerns or 999 in an emergency."
