It is A level results day today for thousands of students across the South Coast.
A new report claims more teenagers will shun university for Apprenticeships this year because of high youth unemployment rates and tuition fees.
Conflicting with that, UCAS figures show a record number of students have already been accepted onto University courses nine percent up on last year.
Fareham College is scrapping most of its A levels for more vocational courses.
The Principal of Fareham College, Nigel Duncan:
"The students that come to Fareham College focus on technical, applied and vocational subjects. We are the 8th highest performing College in the country. Clearly our focus has to be on making sure people are prepared for employment and ready for jobs."
