Police have made a fresh appeal for help to catch a robber who escaped with a haul of cash from a bank in Hedge End.
The robbery took place as two couriers were making a cash delivery to the Nationwide Building Society in Upper Northam Road at around 12.20am on Wednesday, July 13th.
A man smashed through a fully glazed door and made verbal threats to the couriers to open the safe. He removed three cash cassettes.
Witnesses have told police that a white saloon BMW car was seen to make off from the scene of the robbery at speed. It was last seen heading up Upper Northern Road, Hedge End towards Junction 7 of the M27.
Police say they want to hear from anyone who may've seen the car, and the direction it took from Junction 7 of the M27. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area before the robbery.
Officers have also issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to who passed the bank on a bike shortly after the robbery. They say he's not a suspect but he might have information that could help detectives.

Officers are also contacting homes and businesses in the area which may have private CCTV recordings which could assist the investigation.
In addition they are keen to speak to residents who may have noticed a suspicious vehicle or activity on the evening of Tuesday, July 12, or any other Tuesday evening over the past month.
