Kings Of Leon To Close Isle Of Wight Festival

Kings of Leon have been named as the third and final headline act of this year's Isle of Wight Festival.
The four brothers from Nashville, Tennessee, are returning to the event which they previously headlined at in 2011.
The other acts topping the bill for the festival which runs from June 12 to 15 at Seaclose Park, Newport, are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Biffy Clyro.
Other bands announced today are Travis, Clean Bandit, The Specials, John Newman, LA duo Deap Vally, half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, Mercury Prize nominees The Horrors, Gorgon City and The Strypes,
John Giddings, the festival's promoter said:
"Three words define this year's headliners - rock the Wight. We have three unbelievable acts - Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers and closing Kings of Leon. The bill is truly eclectic, we have something for everyone, new and emerging talent mixed with established artists. The summer starts here.''
Travis said:
"We're made up that we are making a trip back to the Isle of Wight, last time was a top gig. There's a lot of rock and roll history gone down on that little island and it's great to be a part of it again.''
Also taking to the stage during the weekend will be Dappy, Lawson, choral rock outfit The Polyphonic Spree, From The Jam, featuring Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler and four-piece girl group Neon Jungle. along with, Swim Deep, Chloe Howl, The Selecter, DJ Duke Dumont, indie rockers Peace, July Talk, British band The Move and newcomers The Vamps.
Other acts already announced are Rudimental, Passenger, The 1975 & The Waterboys.
