Police have released CCTV pictures from a Ringwood pub where a 41-year-old local man was attacked.
The victim was in Finns at Market Place, Ringwood on May 20th 2012 when an unknown man tapped him on the shoulder and punched him in the face when he turned around.
Police need to identify two men who may have important information about the attack. Both men are white and in their early twenties.
The first is slim with light coloured hair. He wore a tracksuit, possibly blue, with a distinctive Mohammad Ali wording across the back. The word Mohammad should have been spelled with an E at the end, rather than an A.
The second man was of a similar build and wore a light-coloured jumper and a floppy knitted wool hat.
Ringwood PC Karen Warren said the pub was busy at the time of the incident.
"We believe someone may be able to identify the offender" she said.
Anyone with information about the attack or who can identify the men in the CCTV pictures is asked to contact PC Warren on 101 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111. Minicom users may ring 01962 875000.
