Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was assaulted in Havant last night (Tuesday 6th March).
The victim was in Middle Park Way, Havant, at 7.30pm when he was assaulted by a man and a woman. Both offenders were wearing scarves over their faces.
The victim struggled with the pair and after approximately a minute, the couple ran away towards Overton Crescent and Sunwood Road.
The victim ran home and alerted his family who called police.
Det Con Davies said: “This appears to be an isolated incident.
“Understandably the young victim has been left very shaken and upset by what has occurred and is receiving support from his family.
“We’d appeal to anyone who believes they may have seen something suspicious in the Middle Park Way area of Havant to call police at the earliest opportunity.”
Staff at Park Community School have been informed this morning as the incident occurred close by.
”We’d like to reassure parents and residents in the area that we are doing all we can to identify the offenders and are asking anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant they feel it may be, to call us.”
Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to call DC Lucia Davies on 101.
