Body Found In Search For Missing Isle Of Wight Woman

Police searching for a missing woman on the Isle of Wight have found a body.

76-year-old Molly Kenyon was last seen in Freshwater on Monday (10 March 2014).
 
The discovery of the body was made at 2.45am this morning (Thursday) near the shoreline in the Freshwater Bay area.
 
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

"Relatives of Molly Kenyon have been contacted and notified about the discovery.
 
"Formal identification of the body and a post-mortem examination will take place in the next few days.
 
"The death is not being treated as suspicious.
 
"Police would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their assistance with this search, particularly HM Coastguard and volunteers from WightSAR."
