Biker Dies In New Forest Crash

Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died in a collision at Brockenhurst.

At around 2.10pm on Wednesday March 21st, a motorcycle heading south crashed into a lorry travelling in the opposite direction
on Lyndhurst Road about half a mile south of the level crossing.

The rider, a local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the articulated lorry was shaken but uninjured.

The road was closed in both directions at the location for around four hours while police carried out an investigation and recovery of the scene.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle driving prior to it.
