£9000 Cigarettes Stolen From Co-Op

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary at a Co-Op store in Hedge End in the early hours of Saturday, May 28.

The incident happened at the store on Lower Northam Road sometime between 1.30am and 2am.

Around £9000 worth of cigarettes were removed from the store.

It is believed entry was gained to the premises through smashing a front window.

Police are keen to identify four men who were seen in the locality around the time of the incident. All of them were wearing dark clothing.

PC Andrew Dolan, of Eastleigh police station, said:

"Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in this area, late on Friday through to the early hours of Saturday, to contact us. If you have any information which could help police with their enquiries then please come forward."
