Weapons Find At Bearsden Farm

Police have found a stash of weapons at a farm in Bearsden in Glasgow

They were responding to a call from a member of the public when they did a search about half six last night.

The items have been taken to a local police office for further tests.

Area Detective Superintendent Jim Downie, said: "Whilst we cannot confirm the types of firearms found, this was a significant find. Our enquiries are at an early stage and police are still at the scene carrying out enquiries'

They're still searching the farm and nearby woods.

It has been reported that the property used to be a working farm but is now rented out by a group of men in their 30s and 40s.
