Scott Hutchison Frightened Rabbit

A fundraising page has been set up to create a memorial bench for Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison.

He took his own life in May, after a battle with mental health issues.

His fans have been donating to mental health charities ever since.

Now, a fundraising page has been set up to install a bench in Glasgow, in his memory.

The crowdfunding campaign aims to "raise £1,500 to place a bench in memory of Scott Hutchison in one of Glasgow's beautiful parks. A place to remember, celebrate, or just gather your thoughts."

It's already raised thousands of pounds more than the target.

Those behind it want to purchase a memorial bench including a memorial plaque, and place it in a park so it's free of entry and easy to get to for local and visiting fans.

They say: "The bench will be a place to remember Scott, to put the headphones on and listen to his music and take a deep breath of fresh air, a place to sit down and have a good catch up with friends and fellow fans, a place to celebrate Scott's life and what he means to all of us".

It was set up by Ade Cartwright who told us "there's been a lot of support from all over the world, it's been amazing.

"It just goes to show how much he was loved.

"People just want somewhere where they can go, share their memories of Scott with other people, just sit there and contemplate, or just have a sing".

He plans to donate the extra money raised to charities loved by Scott.
