A teenage driver is in a serious condition in hospital after his car crashed with a lorry.
The accident happened in Gilmerton road, Edinburgh, at around 11.50pm yesterday.
Police said a silver Renault Clio collided with an HGV.
A 19-year-old man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition.
Sergeant Neil Inglis said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or the vehicles shortly beforehand, to get in touch as soon as possible.
