Nicola Sturgeon has wished Scotland's Olympic hopefuls luck as they prepare to compete in the Rio Games.
The First Minister said she is delighted 53 Scots have been selected as part of Team GB - the highest number ever for an away Games.
They include flag bearer Andy Murray and rowers Katherine Grainger and Heather Stanning, who all brought home gold at London in 2012 and will be defending their titles in Brazil.
Ms Sturgeon said: "There is no higher honour than competing on a global stage and I am delighted that so many Scottish athletes will be performing in Rio.
"I will be cheering on all of them throughout the Games and I hope that the hard work and dedication these athletes have put in will pay off.
"I wish all 53 of Scotland's Olympians, and all of Team GB, the very best of luck.''
Tennis star Murray will follow in the footsteps of fellow Scot and cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy, who led out Team GB at the London Games.
