Police have urged people to stay away as firefighters battle a large blaze in Greenock.
The fire, at a building on Jamaica Street, is said to have started at around 5pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Operations Control mobilised a number of fire engines to the town's Jamaica Street, where firefighters were met by a large and well developed fire.
"Crews currently remain on the scene working to extinguish the fire."
A funeral home nearby was forced to move bodies to another premises as fire crews tackled the blaze.
In a post on their Facebook page, Green Oak Funeral Services said that their landlines were unavailable but "all loved ones were being cared for in our Port Glasgow premises".
Several hours after the blaze began and with firefighters still on the scene, police announced that several roads around the area would remain closed.
Crews are still there but the fire service tell us things haven't gotten any worse overnight.
