CCTV workers in Glasgow are planning to walk out on the weekend of the first Old Firm match of the season.
The strike affects around 140 members of staff at Community Safety Glasgow (CSG), an arms-length company of Glasgow City Council.
Unions say CSG is trying to pay workers less than other staff at the local authority for working night shift and at the weekend.
Brian Smith, Unison Glasgow Branch secretary, said: "Some workers are facing a pay cut of £3000 per year.
''The payment levels for CSG workers are far too low compared with other staff at Glasgow City Council.
''Our members have been left with no option other than to take strike action.
''I would say to the employer even at this late stage, we're willing to talk and if you put something on the table which is acceptable the strikes won't go ahead. If not, they will.''
The first Old Firm game of season takes place at Celtic Park next Saturday.
Police Scotland said the event would be "policed appropriately".
