A teenager has been injured after being chased and attacked by masked men in a Glasgow play park.
The 18-year-old suffered serious injuries after being set upon in Castlemilk by a four-strong gang wearing balaclavas.
Police are treating the assault as attempted murder.
Officers said the victim was one of a group of teenagers in a play park off Machrie Drive when the men approached at around 11.25pm on Friday.
They chased the 18-year-old through the park and assaulted him.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken for treatment to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride. He has since been released.
Officers have been carrying out inquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
Detective Inspector Lynsey Watters said: "Unfortunately, the response we've received so far has been disappointing.
"A young man, local to the area, sustained serious injuries in this attack and it's imperative we trace those responsible.
"I am appealing again to the local community to contact us with any information they may have."
She added: "Several homes back on to the playground and I'm convinced that people will have been aware of the incident.
"I would urge them to get in touch so we can bring this investigation to a conclusion and hold those responsible to account for their actions."
Anyone with information is asked to call CID officers on 101, while those who do not want to speak directly to the police can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
