Royal wedding band
Who will play at William and Kate's wedding? We've put together a few suggestions of bands with royal connections
-
1. JLS
JLS have offered their services to Will and Kate. Will they be taken up on it?
-
2. Alexandra Burke at G-A-Y
Alexandra Burke has sang in front of the Royals before at the Royal Variety Performance in 2009. Will she have an advantage against the other possible "wedding" bands?
-
3. Kylie
Kylie has an OBE, so clearly an unfair advantage over the others!
-
4. Will Young
Will Young could make the perfect candidate to serenade William and Kate on their wedding day.
-
5. Girls Aloud
Nadine rift or not, the girls would provide lots of fun and entertainment on the big day.
-
-
6. Beyonce' and Meat Loaf
Beyonce' has met the Royals several times already and would make the perfect wedding singer. Meat Loaf may be a little less appropriate for the big day.
-
7. Beyonce
Beyonce' with Prince Charles again. It looks like she has an advantage already...although if the rumours of her pregnancy are true, she may be too busy to perform....
-
8. Durna Duran
Princess Diana loved Duran Duran.
-
9. Take That
Take That are boy band royalty, so it would make sense for them to perform at the wedding. But will they be asked?
-
10. Blue (L) and Grace Jones (R)
Blue have reformed, so they could perform at the wedding. We are not sure Grace Jones would be appropriate as a wedding singer though.
-
-
11. Spice Girls
The Royals love the Spice Girls, especially Will and Harry who've always had a soft spot for Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton. Will the royal wedding be enough to get the girls back on stage?
-
12. Destinys Child
Will Kate and Will's wedding be enough to convince the girls to reform?
-
13. Steps
Prince Charles seems to enjoy himself dancing to Steps in this picture, but maybe William would rather avoid being embarrassed by his dad dancing.
-
14. Lady Gaga
The Queen meets the queen of pop. But there's only room for one Queen at a royal wedding and "Bad Romance" wouldn't go down so well on the big day.
-
15. Cheryl Cole
Danni Minogue and Cheryl Cole could do a duet. Or maybe not.
-
-
16. The Wanted
A hot young band for a hot young couple, The Wanted like a bit of romance. Plus they could later pair up with the bridesmaids.
-
17. Lady Gaga and Elton John
Maybe Elton and Gaga could do a duet together on the big day? We are not sure the outfits they are wearing here would get them past security though.
-
18. Katy Perry and Russell Brand
Brand recently met Charles and made the Price feel slightly uncomfortable with his cheeky antics. Maybe he could ask his wife Katy Perry to perform at Will's wedding as a way of apology.
-
19. Leona Lewis
Leona is no stranger to performing in front of the Royals, after taking part in the Royal Variety Performance in 2008.
-
20. Michael Bublé
The most romantic of singers - and he comes with a blown-up heart already.
-
-
21. Black Eyed Peas
Black Eyed Peas performed at the 2007's Diana Tribute Concert, so a royal wedding may not be so out of the question after all.
