Family Statement
A statement on behalf of the family says:
"Daniel you are not in trouble with anyone. Nothing that has happened is a problem. Please come home or ask for help. All of your family and friends miss you and want you home, especially Oscar our dog.
Please pick up the phone and ring home, friends, or the police and let them know you are safe."
Sunderland Superintendent Alan Veitch said:
"It is not like Daniel to go missing like this, he hasn't before, and his family are becoming increasingly worried about him.
Officers are speaking to people who know Daniel and following up a number of lines of enquiry in order to find him.
I'd appeal directly to Daniel to get in touch with his family and let them know he is ok, or to come home.
If anyone knows where he is or thinks they might have seen Daniel then I'd ask they contact police with any information straight away".
Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 as soon as possible.
