The number of people out of work in the North East between November 2014 and January 2015's down by 19,000 on the previous 3 months.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics show there were 99,000 people out of work in our region between November and January.
It's down by 21,000 compared to this time last year.
The unemployment rate for our region's now 7.7% - which is still the highest in the country.
Nationally the number of people out of work fell by 102,000.
The Prime Minister says we now have the 'highest employment rate in our history'
