A surf competition, which is now in it's fifth year, will see hundreds of surfers head to Tynemouth in fancy dress.
The Foamy Fest will see the likes of Batman, Bananaman and mexicans take to the waves of the North Sea at Tynemouth to compete.
The more outrageous the costume, the more points you score.
This year there's also a raft competition running alongside, where competitors will have to make their own rafts out of every day objects - including bath tubs and pedalo swans!
Sandy Kerr's one of the organisers.
He's told Capital hundreds of people take part:
"Foamy Fest has been going for 5 years now and it just goes from strength to strength.
Last year there were 250 people but we're hoping for more this year.
It was a little bit rainy for the last one, but we'll be there rain or shine."
Registration for the event on Tynemouth Long Sands beach opens at 5pm today (Saturday 24th August) with the competition kicking off at 5:30pm
It costs £5 to enter, with the money being donated to charity.
