Teenager Dies In Sunderland Crash

A 19 year old man's died after the car he was in hit 3 parked cars in Sunderland.
It happened at 8.56pm on Sunday, September 9th, when police received a report of a crash involving one car at Ashdale in Mount Pleasant, Sunderland.
Officers attended and confirmed a Suzuki car, for reasons yet to be established, had left the road and collided with three parked vehicles on a driveway.
A 19-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at Sunderland Royal Hospital.
A 23-year-old man also suffered serious injuries and is at the RVI in Newcastle in a critical condition.
Two men aged 25 and 34 were arrested in connection with the collision.
The 25-year-old is being treated for injuries at Sunderland Royal Hospital, the other was uninjured.
The road was re-opened at 4.25am following investigation and vehicle recovery.
Enquiries into the incident are in the stages as officers try to establish exactly what happened.
They are appealing for witnesses to contact them as soon as possible on 101 ext 69191 for the attention of the Road Safety Unit.
