Hartlepool Murder: Man Charged

A man has been charged over the murder of a 50 year old woman who was found dead at a house in Hartlepool

The 49 year old will appear at Hartlepool Magistrates' Court this morning (16th April 2014)

Police were called to the house on Eddleston Walk in the early hours of yesterday where they found the woman's body.

Formal identification will take place this morning.

Results of tests to find out how she died are also expected to be released later, once the family has been informed.

A murder investigation's been launched after a woman was found dead in a house on Eddleston Walk in Hartlepool

Police were called to the house shortly after 1am today, Tuesday 15th April.

A 50 year old woman was found with serious injuries.

Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as suspicious and a post mortem examination will take place.

A 49 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and will be questioned by police.

Enquiries are ongoing.
