Grand National Jockey Recovering In Hospital

Grand National-winning jockey Ryan Mania hopes to leave hospital later after falling from his horse at Hexham.
He's had a precautionary MRI scan.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with neck and back injuries yesterday (Sunday 8th April).
He's tweeted to say despite what's happened he's feeling "grand".
Ryan Mania won the 2013 Grand National at Aintree on Saturday riding 'Auroras Encore'.
On his Twitter page he's also tweeted to say thank you to the Great North Air Ambulance pilot who took him to hospital
