The Sunderland Festival's back for it's third year - and this year Herrington Country Park's been turned into a rally car track.
The festival is free to attend and runs from today (Friday 14th June) to Sunday 16th June.
Sunderland will also gain first hand experience of the high adrenalin sport of special stage rallying at the Sunderland Festival.
Highlighting the car industry's importance to the North East's economy, a specially prepared rally stage is to be installed in Herrington Country Park.
On Saturday, visitors will be able to experience the spectacle of powerful cars, driven by Britain's top rally drivers.
The event will also be celebrating Sunderland's 21st anniversary as a city, and the 60 year anniversary of the twinning with Saint-Nazaire in France.
Last year around 40,000 people visited the festival throughout the weekend.
