Arrest After South Shields Sudden Death

A man is in police custody after being arrested following the death of a woman in South Shields.
The 23 year old was pronounced dead in hospital after an ambulance was called to a house on Richardson Avenue.
Police say they are investigating but it’s at an early stage, but the incident is being treated as a sudden death.
Police are questioning a 27 year old man on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
