Unsolved Mysteries is gripping Netflix viewers all around the world with its terrifying real-life cases.
True-crime fans assemble. Netflix have rebooted Unsolved Mysteries and people are calling it one of the best series of 2020.
Unsolved Mysteries famously debuted in the US on NBC in 1987 and quickly gained millions of fans. Each episode of the hit show would explore real-life cold cases and unexplained paranormal phenomena and viewers couldn't get enough of it. The show left NBC in 1997 but, since then, it's existed in various formats on CBS, Lifetime and Spike. It officially ended in 2010.

Now, Unsolved Mysteries is back thanks to Netflix and the producers behind Stanger Things and it's already making buzz.
The reboot of Unsolved Mysteries launched on Netflix last week (Jul 1) with six new episodes and six new mysteries and the format isn't too dissimilar to the original series. Each episode uses re-enactments, as well as interviews and real footage, to paint a fully-realised picture of each unsolved case.
Volume 1 features everything from missing people and murders to UFOs and haunted houses.

Unsurprisingly, viewers all around the world are hooked. One person tweeted: "Urgh. I should not have watched "Unsolved Mysteries" on Netflix before bed, now I'm going to stay awake for the next 14 years wondering where Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is."
Another added: "Watching unsolved mysteries on Netflix and it IS BLOWING MY GOD DAMN MIND".

If you can't enough of the series, it looks like you won't have to wait too long for more. Netflix picked up Unsolved Mysteries for 12 episodes, so Volume 2 is already in production. In other words, there could be six more episodes later this year.
