Millie Bobby Brown Responds To Drake Friendship Backlash

The Stranger Things star and rapper Drake "text all the time", apparently.

After Millie spoke about her unlikely friendship with Drake at the Emmys on Monday night, and how the rapper gives her advice "about boys", some people online criticised the friendship by implying it was somehow inappropriate for a 14-year-old to be friends with a 31-year-old.

Milly has now address that backlash stating: "Why you gotta make a lovely friendship a headline? U guys are weird" and then "I'm very blessed to have amazing people in my life. U don't get to decide that for me".

During an interview on the red carpet at the Emmy's on Monday night (September 17), Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown spoke to Access Hollywood about her unlikely friendship with Drake and revealed that the two of them text... about boys.

In case you didn't know, Millie and Drake are good friends. The pair met by chance in Australia after known Stranger Things stan Drake asked if Millie wanted to come to his show. "We text all the time now. He helps me with everything, just life lessons. He's amazing. He's a great human being," she said in an interview with W Magazine earlier this year.

Brown was asked about her friendship with Drake again on the red carpet earlier this week and she said “I love him. I met him in Australia and he’s honestly so fantastic, and a great friend, a great role model. We text—we just texted each other the other day and he was like ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like ‘I miss you more.’”

The comment was then followed up with the all important question: “What advice does he give you, like, what does he say?”

Brown's answer? “About boys, he helps me.”
