"I wouldn't say she's historical but I would love to play Amy Winehouse," said Millie. "I personally think she is like an icon to R&B and blues and basically the whole culture of music. I just love her music and I really was impacted by her whole story – so I would love to play her."
Millie has frequently expressed her love for Amy, and has even wowed fans with her rendition of 'You Know I'm No Good' on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Millie has also previously shared a video of her at 5 years old singing 'Valerie'.
In the interview, Millie also said she'd love to play Princess Leia too. (And we'd love to see it.)

Back in 2018, word of an Amy Winehouse biopic was first confirmed by her dad Mitch. In a statement, he said: "We now feel able to celebrate Amy's extraordinary life and talent. And we know through the Amy Winehouse Foundation that the true story of her illness can help so many others who might be experiencing similar issues."
Speaking on Paul Danan's podcast earlier this year, Mitch spoke about the kind of actress he'd like to see take on Amy's story: “The casting will be – and I get to choose, with recommendations from the producer – a star-maker. We’re gonna get an unknown actress, ideally a Jewish girl from north or east London who looks a bit like Amy and talks like Amy.”
