In May 2020 an intimate photo of Gavin Leatherwood and Luke Cook went viral online. Gavin later tweeted the photo writing: "Just to make it abundantly clear... Luke and I are and have been dating for over a year now. Here’s a pic the morning after a night of vigorous love making." Of course, he was joking and Luke later commented: "These rumors are getting OUT OF HAND! Someone photoshopped me into this post-coital picture. me and Gavin are NOT dating!"
