ABOUT GOD DAMN TIME.
Now that Falice appears to be over (although we will never give up hope) it looks like we'll have to turn to our number 2 Riverdale ship to invest all our energy and emotions into.
Which ship is that, you ask? It can only be, of course, Choni.
Ever since that fateful day Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz went to see Love, Simon, we've stanned their blossoming relationship. Things were turned up a notch when Toni launched a heroic rescue mission to save Cheryl from The Sisters of Quiet Mercy and now things seem to be getting a little more serious between them.
Now, a writer from Riverdale has hinted that we will be seeing A LOT more of Cheryl and Toni together, if you know what I mean.
Brian E Paterson, who has writing credits on 10 episodes of the show, answered questions on his Twitter from Riverdale and Choni fans, hinting that, "there is some really good stuff coming in our final few episodes".
Don't fret, Choni fans -- there is some really good stuff coming in our final few episodes. Hang in there. #Riverdale

But he didn't stop there.
When a fan asked if Choni will kiss in one of the next few episodes, he replied saying "We've got stuff on tap better than just kisses".
Lol. We've got stuff on tap better than just kisses.

Oh my!
Is Riverdale about to get its first same-sex scene between two women? Well Choni fans sure as hell hope so.
In all seriousness, this would be quite a moment for Riverdale. The show didn't really live up to the initial buzz during the early episodes of the first season with regard to representation of sexual minorities (especially Jughead's 'asexual' identity that never really happened). Though there have been improvements in the second season, a sex scene between two women on the show would show that Riverdale are willing to go there and embrace inclusivity for their LGBTQ+ audiences.
